Long Live the Queen of Country Music 

If you are a fan of Carrie Cunningham, you know she loves traditional country music, but you also know she is not afraid to bend the rules a little and genre bend.  You can hear it in her song “What is Love” off her “Showgirl”  album where she blends country lyrics with a reggae feel.  Or her Christmas songs “Eggnog” and "Sand Beneath the Mistletoe", both of which don't sound like traditional country style songs.  But yet, she makes it work.  

 

But the Queen of genre bending is none other than Dolly Parton. The Grammys jump into the longtime award winning songstress with their latest article:   “In honor of the beloved icon's 50th album, 'Dolly Parton & Family: Smoky Mountain DNA,' take a deep dive into the extraordinary career that has helped her conquer the music industry, the acting scene and the world…”.
