Born in the Great Plains of Nebraska and granddaughter of a Cattle Auctioneer, Carrie Cunningham has become a successful touring country artist, who has also become an International Chart topper! The Nashville Music Industry is calling her an authentic, sultry, slightly twisted and totally believable voice on the New Country/Americana scene. Carrie has the sass of Miranda Lambert and a powerhouse voice like Martina McBride; all the while, the sweetness that seethes from the rich tones of Pam Tillis; which engages and captivated the audience within minutes.
Carrie started in music like many aspiring artists, by singing in a local band, but all the while she was attending school studying voice and composition, and singing with the Spokane Symphony Chorale. During the Garth and Shania era, is when she started dabbing in songwriting. This is when she started heading to Nashville and making industry contacts. Knowing that she wanted to be part of something bigger, Carrie went back to school for audio production. After graduating she not only focused on writing and performing with a Seattle band, but also became an Independent live sound engineer, for artists like Joan Jett, Trace Adkins, Chuck Wicks, Hermans Hermits, Air Supply and many others.
In the Mid 2000's, she signed on with an Independent label, Divulge Records, where she released her Honeysweet album, along with releasing a video to her song "Smile Again" in conjunction with the Vanished Children's Alliance. During this time, Carrie moved to the Portland Oregon area, where she started up her own band and toured throughout the Northwest. She became the Nashville Songwriters Association International Chapter Coordinator for Portland in 2008 as well. With her developing connections in Nashville, she quickly became the Nashville voice and aspiring artists in the area came to her with questions and advice.
In 2014, She became a voting CMA member, In 2016 an Americana Music Association member, and in 2017, she became a Grammy member
