 “It was a great show. She was so focused and engaging not only with the audience, but with the technicians on our sound and production teams. She took charge and then talked to her guys about the timing, the sound levels, etc. We really appreciated it and all the band members were pleasant and cooperative without too much attitude....something we notice and appreciate a lot. The audience was thrilled, commenting to me on her voice and what a great show it was for the 4th of July. She closed with an acoustic song about thanking individuals serving in the military. It was tasteful, heartfelt and totally appropriate, so much better than another rendition of Star Spangled Banner. I especially enjoyed her original songs. By interspersing them with some country favorites, Carrie was able to share more of her own personality not just be a cookie cutter of known and loved artists. It was great that she went out into the audience, danced with Joseph who is 86 and a young boy about 8. The whole show was very accessible and personal. We didn't have a huge crowd, but every member of the audience felt she was singing to them. I am so glad she had a good time too. This is country-alternative-rock at its best! I especially love the song "Single life" that is playing in the player! Carrie top debut CD Carrie Cunningham's mix of songs are super for this record, previewing the music on her myspace page, I thought wow what a great pair of vocal chords this woman was blessed with! I heard from the back porch show that they are having her in studio in the next week or two!! LISTEN IN EVERYONE! Best country cd of the year Great album! I cannot stop listening to the song on Carries' chat page, it goes something about having a guy and being single!! WOW the piano that kicked off was HOTTER than a two dollar pistol! I need to get a mypsace so I can add Carrie as a friend, she sounds like a really talented young lady! |
